I’ve always been an adventurous eater, especially with my veggies. It wasn’t until I moved near an amazing farmer’s market 3 years ago that I truly came to appreciate them though. Experiencing kale, carrots, cauliflower and so many others fresh from local farms was a revelation to me. Talking with the farmers about their vast knowledge of veggies helped me so much too. It changed my culinary life in fact! My friend Henry there has taken on the farm that has been in his family for three generations. The cabbage from his farm is unreal! The farmer’s market has truly changed how I look at veggies. So when my fellow blogger Mollie reached out to me about a digital cookbook she was putting together all about veggies, I was thrilled. The Casual Veggie is an incredible compilation of over a hundred recipes from dozens of talented bloggers.
What I love so much about The Casual Veggie is that it celebrates produce in all of its forms. It’s not a lifestyle or health book and appeals to everyone. There are recipes for vegetarians, vegans, meat eaters and everyone in between. Because it’s digital, the book has all 166 recipes available in a convenient printable format. Each veggie gets it own chapter. If you’re looking for what to do with all of the zucchini growing in your garden, there are dozens of ideas! So I wanted to invite all of you to our exciting launch. We are having launch parties on October 19th and October 24th. Further information on the launch parties will be forthcoming. In the meantime, I’d love for you to meet all of the hosts of the launch party who have contributed to the cookbook! Here are the links to the other hosts of the launch with their own veggie stories:

I hope you’ll enjoy the launch party and the book my friends! Huge kudos to Mollie for getting everything set up and put together. I love when the blogging community comes together on a fantastic project like The Casual Veggie. Always keep life delicious! xoxo
one of my favorite activities as an adult has been going to the farmers’ market. i could literally spend an entire day there. 🙂
I know exactly what you mean. I spend pretty much every Saturday afternoon there and I love it so much! 😀
I really enjoy going to the farmers market too, and interact with the farmers. See you on the 19th! 🙂
Interacting with the farmers is the best! The pride on their face when you comment on their gorgeous produce is so fantastic to see. So glad to connect with you, see you on the 19th!! 🙂
Kudos to Mollie indeed she’s done such a great job! Leigh, I love your focus on the farmer’s market. We can get so disconnected from our food only purchasing it at the store. Meeting the farmers who cultivate a seed into nutritious produce is a great experience and like you said life changing.
Thank you so much Brie! I completely agree. I love that feeling of being connected with what I put on the table. 🙂
The Farmers market is one of my favorite weekly activities and even my two year old gets excited about going now.
It’s mine too! I live for it every Saturday 🙂
Aren’t farmer’s market’s the best? There’s nothing better than getting to know the people who grow your food — I think that’s such a big part of cooking (and eating) that so many people miss out on by shopping at the supermarket all the time.
And ditto what you said about Mollie, she has done such an amazing job bringing this cookbook together! I’m so glad to be a part of it and get to know all the other contributors!
They really are the best, Willow! Could not agree more on all counts :-). This has been so fun!
I totally agree with you on the farmers’ market! It wasn’t until I moved to a place that has an AMAZING farmers’ market that I began to appreciate local seasonal produce grown by people I know! So happy to be a part of this amazing cookbook with you!
Same here, Rachel! It’s so great for us all to be able to connect and contribute to this incredible project. 🙂
You are so lucky to be living near a farmers market. I miss that soooo much!
Yes! I look forward to going to to the farmers market every weekend! I love talking to the folks who make my food! Thanks so much for your kind words about the cookbook. I’m so thrilled to have you a part of it!!
Mollie I’m thrilled to be a part of it! Thank you so much! 🙂
Those farmer’s markets just reel you in! It’s fantastic.
And it’s great to meet you through contributing at The Casual Veggie!
