Marc and I always have a drink together at the end of the work week with dinner. Friday nights we both usually are homebodies and have some form of work to do. So Friday night dinner is always our way of stepping away from work and screens to sit, talk and enjoy an adult beverage with our meal. This week it was Marc who played bartender, and he made these incredible spiced apple brandy cocktails. They were so perfect for fall and simple to make.
Then I garnished both glasses with a cinnamon stick for an extra something special. Oh my goodness, these babies made our Friday night. I loved all of the apple flavor, spice and particularly the smoothness of the brandy. The nights have started to get cool, and that brandy warmed me right up. Hope you all love these as well! Enjoy!! xoxo
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup calvados also known as apple brandy
- 1/2 cup ginger ale
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 whole cinnamon sticks for garnish
- Be sure to chill 2 martini glasses well in advance of serving. Then combine the cider, calvados, ginger ale, cinnamon and nutmeg in a cocktail shaker and shake it all together thoroughly. Pour it into the two chilled glasses, garnish each drink with a cinnamon stick and serve immediately! Enjoy!
