Slow Cooker Pumpkin Spiced Hot Cocoa

Oh yes, fall flavors are in full effect at our house now and the pumpkin spice is flowing freely. It makes me so happy. The nights are getting cooler and perfect for sitting with a hot beverage around a fire pit. So I devised a decadent slow cooker pumpkin spiced hot cocoa to warm up with by the fire! It was so easy to make.

I broke out my trusty slow cooker and combined whole chocolate milk, milk chocolate chips and pumpkin pie spice in it. The whole chocolate milk was rich and creamy, with the chocolate chips making it even more decadent. The pumpkin pie spice cut through that richness.

The slow cooker pumpkin spiced hot cocoa melded together on low for 2 hours so that the chocolate could gently melt. I stirred it all together and added pumpkin spiced coffee creamer to make it even more flavorful and rich. Then it cooked for another 15 minutes to meld together some more.

While the slow cooker pumpkin spiced hot cocoa cooked, I made a quick and easy whipped cream. I just whipped up half of a pint of heavy whipping cream until it had fairly stiff peaks. Then I whipped in some pumpkin pie spice to give it great flavor. It was the perfect topping! There was plenty leftover to use on pie, in my morning coffee, and lots of other yummy things.

The flavor was so deep and rich, and I loved how the whipped cream melted right into the cocoa. It was definitely so perfect for a night by the fire with my hubby! Hope you all enjoy this fall treat. xoxo
