Gimmee Jimmy’s Cookies

I was lucky enough to have the wonderful people at Gimmee Jimmy’s cookies send me a tin of their famous treats, so first I would like to give them a huge thank you for the privilege. There is just something so exciting about getting a package in the mail. I could not wait to try them when they arrived on my doorstep! I had to be patient and not eat too many at one time though. One of the main reasons I received them was to review them for freshness over the course of 7-10 days, and how well they kept in their tin during that time.

I actually wasn't at home when the cookies arrived, so they were sitting in the July heat for a couple of hours or so when I rescued them. In spite of that, only the black and white cookies showed any sign of melting just a little. The other thing I found was that a couple of the cookies were broken in transit. As far as taste went, I was in love. Along with the delicious black and white cookies, I received their signature cinnamon rugelach. The dough was so soft and pillowy with a really flavorful cinnamon filling.

The rest of the assortment was comprised of their chocolate candy cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and double chocolate cookies. They all had the most perfect soft, chewy texture with yummy hits of chocolate.
