No Bake Chocolate Hazelnut Bars

In this summer heat I have been trying to not put my oven on so much. It hasn’t always been successful, but I have been trying! This time though, I did succeed with a gorgeous dessert that didn’t need baking. Let me tell you, these no bake chocolate hazelnut bars are simple and incredible. I eat Nutella by the spoonful with no shame, so chocolate and hazelnut together is pure heaven to me. The nuts and crunchy chocolate cheerios in these babies make them taste like those wonderful Ferrero Rocher candies in bar form. They also come together in minutes before they need to chill and set.

First, I melted lots of chocolate chips, chocolate hazelnut spread and butter together in a bowl over simmering water. It took a good few minutes before it became completely smooth and shiny.
Then I just stirred in lots of chocolate cheerios and chopped hazelnuts for fantastic crunch and flavor. It was such a glorious mixture and so simple to do! Then I just spread it out evenly in my greased 8 x 8 pan to set and chill.
It chilled for at least 2 hours to really set to all. The 8 x 8 pan was perfect to give them some height rather than a larger pan where they would be thinner and more spread out.

Once the 2 hours of chilling were up, that was all there was to it! I just cut them into squares and served them up. Oh my gosh, it really did taste like my favorite chocolate hazelnut candies without having to shell out the money for them. Those things get expensive! Hope you all love these delectable treats too. xoxo

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 stick butter cut into cubes
  • 2 cups chocolate Cheerios
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts

  1. Get out an 8 x 8 baking dish and spray it with unflavored cooking spray. Then get a small pot of water simmering on the stove, filled about halfway. Combine the chocolate chips, chocolate hazelnut spread and butter in a heat proof bowl and place it over the simmering water to melt. Stir it with a heatproof utensil until it becomes completely smooth and shiny. Take it off the heat and stir in the Cheerios and hazelnuts. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and make sure it is spread out completely evenly. Set it in the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours. Then cut it into 20 even squares and enjoy! They also keep sealed up in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
