Grounds for Sculpture

There is a little piece of paradise right in the middle of NJ. Grounds for Sculpture is one of those places that you need to see to believe. It is acre upon acre of gorgeous sculptures, lush grounds, peacocks wandering around, and several fantastic places to eat. Basically, it is one of my favorite places to hang out, second only to the beach. That combination of art, beauty and yummy food just fills my heart and soul. So I wanted to show you all why I love it so much!

Marc and I are always in awe of the sculptures and art installations at Grounds for Sculpture. When we first started going, there were a few that we thought were real people when we walked around. That’s how life-like they are. It is also a blast to take pictures with the sculptures. This one is called The Party and it is probably my favorite in the whole place. My husband decided to crash that party, ha!
The food at Grounds for Sculpture is also so top notch. The Peacock Cafe offers up yummy sandwiches and sides for a great lunch. I am particularly in love with their chicken and waffles sandwich with maple bacon aioli. It’s to die for. There is also the elegant and amazing Rats Restaurant. The happy hour and dinner menus offer something for everyone from burgers to foie gras. Marc and I always each get a burger, split an order of yummy poutine and have a drink for an early dinner during their happy hour deals. This picture is of the rear patio of Rats looking out over the water. It’s gorgeous and so serene.

We love Grounds for Sculpture so much that we even became members since we live fairly close to it. It really makes for the most wonderful day trip to wander around and be in awe of the art, sit and enjoy a drink looking out over the water, and relax. To find out more, check out their website here. Enjoy, and maybe I’ll run into you there! xoxo
